Mitsui Co - ITC Pasadena Terminal

This was a Grass Roots Project and work was performed under a T&M Master Service Agreement working directly for Intercontinental Terminals Company. We performed the following services:

• Constructed main entrance bridge
• Dredge in-the-dry (excavation) ship dock
• Constructed all the drainage structures and below grade piping systems
• Excavated and embanked over 2.5MM CY of earth materials including drainage structures and levees
• Exported to and built off-site dredge storage containment levee DMPA (TX Deep Water DMPA) - 550,000 CY
• Constructed structural ring-wall tank foundations
• Constructing railroad bridge, loop and railroad storage tracks

The existing soils in the ship docks were heavily saturated and required daily monitoring, manipulation, and constant management due to changing conditions. The dredged material excavated "in the dry" was separated by type (sand, clay, etc.), then chemically treated and re-blended with reagents as engineered to solidify the material for transport to proposed fill areas then embanked in place to line and grade per the technical specifications.
