W. T. Byler Co. considers no phase of operation or administration as being of greater importance than accident prevention. It is the policy of this company, therefore, to provide and maintain safe working conditions and efficient operation.
We believe in the dignity and importance of the individual employee and the right to derive personal satisfaction from his or her employment. Also spelled out in this creed is our belief that the safety of employees continues to be a prime consideration in the operation of the business.
Accident prevention and efficient production go hand-in-hand. All levels of management within our company have a primary responsibility for the safety and well-being of all employees. This responsibility can be met only by working continuously to promote safe work practices among all employees and to maintain property and equipment in safe operating condition.
Today we have gained a front-runner position within the Heavy / Civil and Railroad Construction Industry. Over time, we have observed employees perform many tasks and have defined controls that enable safe work principles. By working for industrial-petrochemical companies including V. P. P. – OSHA Voluntary Protection Programs and MSHA, we use our firsthand experience to identify any hazard before an accident can occur. We routinely write methodologies considering safe-work principles to focus on the relationship between the worker, the task, the tools and the work environment for every job we perform.
We have qualified superintendents, many of which have been with the company for years. They themselves are safety qualified and ensure the employees adhere to the safety standards established by the company. Our Safety Due-Diligence has afforded us an experience modification rate so exceptional it is almost an unfair business advantage. We are able to pass those savings to our customers!
